The Spikes were founded in 2012 and our first players graduated from high school in 2017.
The Spikes Baseball Club is proud of all former players who have gone on to play college baseball.

To benefit our high school-aged players, the Spikes have developed a step-by-step, proprietary guide to the college recruitment process: the CSBC College Baseball Recruiting Guide. The guide includes a supplement entitled the CSBC College Baseball Recruiting Q & A as well as links to the NCAA College-Bound Student Athlete Guide, the NCAA Eligibility Center Quick Reference Guide, the NCAA Recruiting Fact Sheet, and the NAIA College-Bound Student-Athlete Guide. Also, we include impor-tant statistical information provided by the NCAA in the CSBC Odds of Playing Professional Sports.
The Spikes have also developed two sortable electronic files that provide live links to every college baseball program in the country: The CSBC College Baseball Program Directory - Ohio Only and the CSBC College Baseball Program Directory - All States.
In addition to our proprietary recruiting guide and information above, members of our teams also play in the Diamond Dreams Fall Prospect Series in the month of September. This annual event brings top high-school age teams to Stark County to compete in a series of four tournaments. The Fall Prospect Series website features prospect profiles for all participating players. The tournament is heavily marketed to college coaches as well as professional scouts.
In addition to the Fall Prospect Series, some Canton Spikes high-school age clubs may attend Northeast Ohio on-campus college recruiting camps as a team. Attending such camps (as a team) is a great way for players to get their feet wet to this important recruiting tool for smaller schools.
In December, our high-school age teams participate in an annual indoor college recruiting camp directed by Evan Agona, a Canton native and Head Coach at Tri-C in Cleveland. The camp features instruction from multiple college coaches and is held at the training home of the Spikes: Diamond Dreams Sports Academy.
Finally, Spikes players and parents have the opportunity to attend multiple lectures on the college recruiting process presented by high school and college coaches at DDSA. Last year's featured speaker was Canton Spikes friend and advisor Rick Rembielak, 21 year veteran Division I head coach at Kent State, Wake Forest and Akron.
